The church at Colossae was under attack from false teachers who were teaching that Jesus was not actually God! Though Paul had never been to the church itself, he addressed these issues head-on in AD 60–61, penning a letter to the Colossian church during his first imprisonment in Rome.
In this study, we explore the letter, which contains one of the most profound presentations of Christology anywhere in the New Testament. But Paul also wanted Jesus to be at the center of every area of Christian life, from home and family, to work, to the way we should treat others. The theme of this study is the Lordship of Jesus Christ and His sufficiency in meeting our needs in every area.
