Advent Devotional for December 21st

Verses for Reflection:

John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.
Romans 11:17-18 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree,  do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.

Psalm 80:8-11 You brought a vine out of Egypt;
you drove out the nations and planted it.
 You cleared the ground for it;
it took deep root and filled the land.
 The mountains were covered with its shade,
the mighty cedars with its branches.
 It sent out its branches to the sea
and its shoots to the River.
